Canyon Cove Nasugbu: The Best Place in Batangas

canyon cove batangasI’ve been travelling a lot lately and I do not plan to stop anytime. Recently, I’ve stumbled upon a good review in the internet on a place that is just around the corner from Manila; and that is Canyon Cove Nasugbu.

The best way to get there is to take SLEX and exit at Sta. Rosa. You will then pass Sta. Rosa all the way to Tagaytay, and then you will have to turn right at the Nasugbu-Lemery intersection. It’s just a 2-3 hour drive from Manila, and its exact address is Far East Road, Piloto, Wawa, Nasugbu, Batangas. You can also take the Cavite Road, where you will have to pass through Aguinaldo Highway and pass Tagaytay City before getting to Nasugbu. Just expect moderate to heavy traffic especially if you will drive through rush hours.

Even if you are tired from the long drive, when you reach Canyon Cove, I guarantee that’s all worth it. It’s also important to note that it is easy to book a reservation here but they said that if you are planning to go there during weekends, you must reserve beforehand because they are always fully booked in weekends.

I know what you are thinking; how about the foods? Well, bringing your own food inside is prohibited because they have a restaurant inside where you can buy some foods. But because I’m the “matipid” or thrifty kind of person, I managed to bring some foods inside J, but I don’t recommend that you do what I’ve done of course; it’s just me…But if you had to buy foods inside, I must say that it’s really good but kinda expensive. For example, two regular hotdogs cost 90 pesos and their grilled liempo costs around 340 pesos. Their rice costs 30 pesos which is only good for 1 person and their Java rice costs 50 pesos. My favorite is their arroz caldo, it has a distinct taste that I have never tasted before. Because of that, I had 3 servings of it.

If you are planning to stay for the night, their room rates is more on the expensive side. It ranges from 6,000 – 9,500 pesos. I think it’s okay to stay for the night if you are with family or friends or in a large group but if your alone or with your hubby, then I recommend otherwise.

Overall, Canyon Cove Nasugbu is a great place to relax and unwind. But I think that it is most enjoyable if you’re with families and friends.
