Craving for Authentic Chinese and Japanese Cuisine? Try Tramway Buffet

tramwayIf it’s casual or special dining you want without spending too much money, then Tramway is the best place for you. Here you can enjoy their lunch and dinner eat-all-you-can Chinese, Japanese cuisine buffet for reasonable prices. And the best thing I love about this restaurant is that they have branches at strategic locations for you to grab a bite whenever you feel like having one.

As of January 2013, they have 4 branches namely: Tramway Tea House in Banawe, Tramway Bayview Buffet in Roxas Boulevard, Tramway Buffet Plaza in Shaw Boulevard and Tramway Garden Buffet in Timog. I haven’t tried all of their branches but I am looking forward to visit all of their branches in the near future.

They offer authentic Chinese, Japanese and Filipino cuisines that are world-class, budget-friendly and most importantly delicious. If you are wondering where they got their name, according to their website, Tramway was derived from the Hong Kong Tramway that offers economical means of transportation in Hong Kong. They want to be known as offering the most economical buffet in the Metro; hence, Tramway was established first in Banawe.

Their price range is from 205 pesos to 248 pesos for their regular buffet that consists of soup, staple dish, main dish, side dish and dessert. The price depends on the branches where you will visit. They also have special packages and function rooms if you want to go there accompanied by large groups of people. You can visit their website to see the packages that they offer. They also have special rate for children that is 4 feet below. They charge 175 pesos for kids below 4 feet in height.

They offer a wide variety of dishes for you to choose from. But one of their most delicious dishes is their Sweet and Sour Pork. I think all of their branches offer this dish. As cheesy as it may sound, but their Sweet and Sour Pork is crunchy on the outside but juicy in the inside. The combination of meat and a thin layer of fat makes all the difference in this dish. Their Yang Chow fried Rice is also a must-try in their eat-all-you-can buffet. Rice cooked with green peas, egg and shrimp…it makes me crave even while I’m writing this article. I don’t know about you but anything with shrimp is very delicious for me.

I highly recommend that you try Tramway Eat-All-You-Can in any of their branches. In your visit, please do share your experiences with us.
