Pico De Loro Batangas : A Great Coastal Escapade

pico de loro nasugbu I cannot stress enough how I love beaches. Maybe it’s because the beach gives me this serene feeling every time I’m standing on the shores, feeling the fresh sea breeze and the radiance of the sun. Who doesn’t love the beach, anyway?

A few days back I enjoyed a lone escapade on the south of Luzon. A friend who happened to be a member at the resort encouraged me to take a look at one of SM Property’s establishment – Pico de Loro Cove at Hamilo Coast, Nasugbu, Batangas. I took the ferry boat from the Mall of Asia which cost me P600 for a single trip. For members it’s usually one hundred pesos less. I know it’s a little pricey but it’s the second fastest way to reach the resort. There are other ways of going to the resort of course. You can take the helicopter which will get you there in about 20 minutes, you can drive your car passing through the Kaybiang Tunnel or you can commute to the Nasugbu proper by taking a bus which is a little more tiring.

When I got to the resort, I felt good taking on my friend’s advice to check out the place. I booked a room at the Pico Sands Hotel for a night and along with it came a free breakfast and the guest fee. They said booking a condo was cheaper since you could cook and bring along friends but I opted to travel alone and only for an overnight so I didn’t really need a spacious place.

pico de loroI enjoyed quite a few of the activities. I swam on the beach to my heart’s content which must explain my tan reflection as of this moment. I also brought along my squash racket to play squash since I haven’t been playing in ages, I swam in the infinity pool, played badminton, enjoyed some water sports, strolled along the shore and when the sun was about to set, laid on the outdoor chair reading a book breathing in the warmth of the sky hues. For me, that day was simple yet sophisticated and relaxing.

For food, there’s no need to worry, they have a restaurant you can dine in or order food at though I recommend you eat your dinner at Kainan sa Dalampasigan, about 20 minutes away from the resort. They have some good food your stomach would surely delight on.

Room rates are a little pricy because the resort is meant for the elite but I guess when we want to, we can all be elites sometimes. You can check rates in their page and I suggest you guys check out the place too!
