The newest place in the highlands of Tagaytay is slowly gaining reputation as one of the best leisure parks in the country for kids and kids at heart alike. Located at the heart of Tagaytay, Sky Ranch Tagaytay has world class rides to boast off, and because it’s located in Tagaytay, you can expect cold breeze that is what this place is known for.
I have the pleasure of visiting this newly opened amusement park just recently with my family. If you’re from Manila, Tagaytay is just an hour or two away, but of course, it will all depend on the traffic conditions of the road. But if you prefer to take public transport, just go to Buendia corner Taft Avenue in Pasay and from there, look for buses that has the signs, “MENDEZ-TAGAYTAY-NASUGBU”. Don’t worry, there are many buses that has regular trips to Tagaytay since it is one of the top tourist destinations in Cavite.
If you are like me, one of the things that you will look for a great experience will be the costs of having one. The good news is that in SR Tagaytay, entrance fee is only 100 pesos. And if you love horseback riding, you can also try it for just 250 pesos per 30 minutes of ride. But the main attraction of this theme park is the Sky Eye, which is its version of MOA Eye Ferris Wheel. The difference is that Sky Eye stands at a whopping 200 feet above the ground compared to MOA’s Ferris wheel which only stands at 180 feet. I must advice you, this ride is not for the weak of hearts. But I must say, the view from the gondola is priceless. You can see Taal Volcano in all its majesty and you can even see the whole city of Tagaytay once you are up there in the peak of the wheel. But I would like to experience it at night time because I think that you can see the lights of the city but the view of Taal may not be that clear because of fog.
It has been a blast going to Sky Ranch Tagaytay since the weather is so good that you may think you are outside the country and the food is also good especially the beef because Tagaytay is known to have the freshest beef in the country. In a scale of 1 – 10, 10 being the highest, I would rate it at 11. I will definitely come back to visit it again.
